Medical Affairs & Education Associate
The Medical Affairs & Education Associate (MAEA) is responsible for the support of key Medical Affairs & Professional Education initiatives. The primary focus of the MAEA is to work as part of a cross-functional team on high level administrative projects, oversee administrative operations of the medical affairs department programming to successfully manage projects, and execute initiatives that lead to clinical utilization and acceptance of NICO’s neurosurgical medical device applications. Working closely with the Clinical Science Project Manager, the MAEA will provide overall support for the evaluation, planning, and execution efforts for our key internal and external departmental initiatives. Candidate must be willing to travel for on-site education programs, as needed.

Responsibilities
include, but are not limited to the following:
- Analyze and develop improved efficiency and effectiveness of current Medical Education Programming strategic initiatives
- Coordinate and track progress of agreed upon initiatives while reporting and escalating to senior management as needed
- Ensure all internal and external content is accurate and professional
- Support execution of various projects including but not limited to:
- Execution for Medical Education programming offerings (virtual and on-site, etc)
- Post-education program follow-up to ensure active physician participation, field team communication, and education completion
- Maintenance of education records and reporting education status across company in an effort to maintain high educational standards and adherence
- Assist in developing education materials/tools for field team to support physicians at all levels of learning, including but not limited to course follow-up materials, reference items, agendas, brochures, and videos
- Maintain education budget and manage all physician payments as related to education events
- Provide administrative support and tracking for education events and manage virtual format for speakers and attendees
- Provide speakers with program details, and travel information (as necessary)
- Report to field team and/or leadership education opportunities, registration reports, and attendance for events
- Ad-hoc projects as assigned
- Maintains strict confidentiality
Hard Skills
- Minimum of two years’ experience in event set up and management or transferable skills
- Willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
- Proven work track record (reliable)
- Ability to set deadlines and prioritize work objectives and work rigorously to meet them
- Must be able to work cross functionally – flexible and a team player
- Must be highly proficient in the use of a laptop computer and software programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Must also be capable of learning new software programs as introduced by the company
